The International Maritime Organization (IMO), in an effort to reduce marine pollution and in order to improve air quality and environmental protection, will require the usage of marine fuels with a Sulphur not exceeding 0.5 percent. At present the current limit is 3,5 percent. This regulation applies for all sizes of ships.
